Remote control animals:
Remote control animals are animals that are remotely controlled by humans. Certain applications require implantation of electrodes into the animal nervous system with a connector, and the receiver is usually placed on the animal’s back. Use radio signals to control animals. Electrodes cannot move animals directly, just like controlling a robot. Instead, they will send out a signal to indicate the direction or action desired by the operator, and then stimulate the animal’s reward center when the animal obeys. These are sometimes called biorobots or robotic animals. They can be thought of as robots because they combine electronic devices with organic life forms. Due to the need for surgery and the ethical and ethical issues involved, the use of remote-controlled animals has been criticized, especially in terms of animal welfare and animal rights. Similar non-invasive applications have been reported to control animals by stimulating the brain with ultrasound. Some applications (mainly for dogs) use vibration or sound to control the movement of animals.
Use and reason:
Remote-controlled animals are considered to have a variety of potential uses, replacing human needs in certain dangerous situations. If they are equipped with other electronic devices, their applications will be further expanded. It has been suggested that small animals equipped with cameras and other sensors are very useful when looking for survivors after a building collapses. Cockroaches or mice are small and can be manipulated and can enter the ruins.
Robots that can perform the same actions as controlled animals are usually technically difficult and costly. It is difficult to replicate the flight while having an acceptable payload and flight duration. The use of insects and their natural flight ability can significantly improve performance. Therefore, the emergence of “cheap organic alternatives” allows the development of small, controllable robots that are currently unavailable.
